Frequently Asked Questions
Why Ya Ruhi?
There are so many beautiful Muslims out there. Some who are very devout to the Islamic practices. Some who are still finding their place in the Muslim community and some who are in between and still finding themselves. Ya Ruhi was created to introduce Muslims to other Muslims in hopes of creating a matrimonial relationship in a halal manner, InShaAllah.
Will my private information be shared?
Absolutely not. We are very intent on keeping your information private. What data we collect from you is for our own purposes to help you find someone you will click with. It is you who decides what information you feel comfortable sharing with the individual(s) you meet with. Your full name, phone number and social media will also be kept private until YOU decide you’re comfortable enough to share it.
Is this another dating app?
We are not a dating app, so skip the mindless swiping and join us at one of our events and actually meet the person face-to-face, the one you’re meant to spend the rest of your life with (SubhanAllah).
Who is the target audience?
Single Muslims. Whether single, divorced or widowed, everyone has their own story; just be honest. It is for our fellow reverts who want to meet their Ruhi but don’t know where to start. It is for the ones out there who want to complete half their deen through marriage and dedicate the other half to Allah ﷺ. Ya Ruhi is for all Muslims who are seeking to get married.
This is not a dating event. Ya Ruhi was created for Muslims who are serious about getting married.
Can I sign up my son/daughter?
Of course! We do however require their permission/consent. Forced marriage is not allowed in Islam, so no one should be forced to attend our events to meet someone until they are ready to do so on their own.
