My partner and I were introduced to each other in 2014 mid-July by a mutual family friend. Both our families met each other for dinner but neither me nor my partner had any interest in getting married at that time. We felt like we were still young, we both went to this gathering out of respect for our families but with the full intent of saying “No. Sorry. Bye!”

But Allah ﷺ had other plans…

Our first conversation lasted 10 minutes. That 10 minutes has now evolved into a marriage of 10 years ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّٰهِ filled with the laughter of two beautiful kids.

We want others to have those 10 minutes like we did because you just never know…
